1881 Census – Kings County – Nova Scotia

We have been working on re-transcribing the 1881 census records for Nova Scotia. Of course, they have been available online for many years, but the transcription errors made the records almost unusable in many cases. Lunenburg County Cemetery Photos

Thanks again to Angie Drew, who has photographed two more cemeteries in Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia. The two cemeteries are both in Upper Northfield, and are Hillside Cemetery and the Old Upper Northfield Cemetery. Thanks to Angie Drew, she spent some time last summer photographing five cemeteries in Lunenburg County. She then generously offered all the photographs to me so I could post them on the website, in the cemeteries section. The five cemeteries are:

Census Records

Today I added two new census records for Kings County, Nova Scotia from 1881. Both were transcribed by Bev Sumpter. They are Centreville and Gaspereau.
